Family Career Community Leaders of America

FCCLA starts the school year strong

by Lindsey Abell

October 13, 2009

As the 2009-2010 school year kicks off, the FCCLA [Family Career Community Leaders of America] started to organize their group of students consisting of last years’ members along with a few new participants.  Anybody who has participated in a past year or has taken Mrs. Kleiber’s F.A.C.S. class as an elective is highly recommend to join.  FCCLA is a group organization to help students become better leaders in their schools and to make right decisions in their life.
FCCLA Member Vyctorya Allison says, “You learn how to be a better leader and how to have a better life.”

Another member, Meredith Clark, once commented, “Mrs. Kleiber is my favorite person in the whole world!!”

The participating members and officers this year are Dina Lyne, Vyctorya Allison, Connor Collins, Brandi Buchwald, Kendra Gonzalas, Shayla Hasbrouck, Olivia Goff, Marika Alderson, Cameron Nelson, Dylan Bretton, Emily Rankin, Meredith Clark, Baighley Walker, Laura Allen, Allison Reinhart, Kyndall Radke, Ally Steinbrock, Chelsey Graves, and Sydney Graves.

The FCCLA Team consists of a Senior Parliament team along with a Junior Parliament team, a scrap book team, a creed interpretation team, and more.  This year the teams and group members have gone to "Taking Action" conferences to learn how to become involved and active in our school, and have also attended Future Leaders of America Conferences to develop into a better leader.
