School Days

When school starts, my week
consists of early morning, boring school days, killer practices,
and late nights doing dreadful homework.
Every morning consists of my waking up at
6:00 or 6:30 am depending on if I go for an early morning run.
My phone alarm rings, possibly the worst sound in the world.
Even if it is my favorite song, I never want to awake.
The fan is blowing on my face, and I’m all wrapped up in the
comfiest purple comforter that I’ve had since I was five.
When I look outside my window, it is still pitch black.
After making myself get up with all of my power, I then go
through this little daily routine of showering, eating, and driving
twenty boring minutes. In the morning, I’m constantly dodging
three annoying dogs. I yell at them all morning it seems,
because they are always in the way slowing me down, and their bark
is beyond annoying.
During my daily twenty minute drive to
school, I switch the radio station constantly. (Songs get
overplayed way too much.) I arrive to school about five or
ten minutes before the first bell. Vehicles are parked
everywhere, up and down the streets. I never know how far I’m
going to have to walk from where I park. When walking to my
first class of the day, I hear so many conversations going on, and
I really don’t understand how some people can be so lively in the
mornings. After going through a dreadful school day, being as
tired as I can be, I then go to practice.
Cross country practice is actually the
highlight of my day, I guess you can say, because I love running.
It takes my mind off everything and puts me in a better mood.
After running and doing our ab. workout at practice, I always
feel super refreshed and good.
I then drive another boring twenty minutes
home. However, it’s more exciting than going to school
because I know when I open my stubborn front door and walk in the
kitchen, my mom will have supper made and ready on the table.
After eating a delicious meal and feeling full, I sometimes
work out on the elliptical machine depending how tired I am and
then watch my short time of daily television. If I’m too worn
out from the day, I take a long hot shower and then go to my room
and do what homework I have. When I’m ready for bed, I turn
on my fan and position it just right and cuddle up in my comfy
purple comforter and lie in my bed, staring at the stars glowing on
my ceiling thinking that I’m going to be doing the same routine
very soon again.
