The MHS boys and girls cross country teams qualified to participate in the state 3A competition at Wamego this past Saturday. Both teams were excited about the opportunity to improve upon their past performance at state, and that is exactly what they did!
The MHS boys cross country team placed 2nd in the Class 3A State Competition on Saturday. Individually, Colin Trickle claimed the 1st place title, while Dillon Hackett placed 7th and Garrett Daugherty placed 14th.
Anna Trahan placed 9th in the state, to lead the lady lions to a 5th place finish in Class 3A.
Both cross country teams are coached by Dina Giles.
