The MHS cross country team traveled to Beloit last Thursday, and not only blew away the competition but literally blew away themselves. Because of the high winds, the team’s nerves were worse than normal. But that did not seem to stop some. Individual placers were freshmen Anna Trahan and Collin Trickle, Juniors Shelbi Hamilton and Garrett Daugherty, and Senior Dillon Hackett.
When asked about her experience in cross country so far this season, Emma Giles responded, “After doing cross country for two years this year is kind of a slump; nothing too exciting has happened yet, but I’m definitely ready for League and Regionals. We’re hoping to qualify for 3A State. It’s going to be tough.”
