Busy Week Ahead for Students

The last full week of school proves to be a busy time for students and faculty. In addition to finishing up class projects and preparing for final exams, there are also many additional activities taking place. Here are a few of them:
*Tuesday, May 18, the MJH band and vocal department will be presenting a concert at 7:30 p.m. in the MJSHS auditorium. In addition, the MHS softball and baseball teams will be competing in the regional competition the same afternoon/evening.
*Wednesday, May 19, will be the seniors last day of school at MJSHS. That evening, they will be participating in the Project Graduation party that is put on by the parents of senior students.
*Thursday, May 20, is awards night for MJSHS. Junior high students will receive their academic awards beginning at 6:00 p.m., while the high school students will receive awards at 7:00 p.m. Both ceremonies will be held in the MJSHS auditorium.
*Friday, May 21, the MHS Track Team will participate in regionals.
*Sunday, May 23, the Class of 2010 will be graduating from MHS at 3:00 p.m. in the MJSHS gymnasium. A Baccalaureate service will be held at 1:00 p.m. prior to graduation.
*Monday, May 24, the MHS Golf team will compete in the state tournament.
*Tuesday, May 25, the Class of 2014 will be promoted to high school. The ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the MJSHS gymnasium.
*Wednesday, May 26, students will bring 2009-2010 to a close as they dismiss at 11:00 a.m. for the summer!
*Competition for State track will take place May 28 - May 29.
*June 1 will be the starting of Driver's Education at MJSHS.
