FFA Places Second in CCCC Aggie Days

The Cloud County Community College Aggie Days contests were held April 7 at Concordia.  The dairy foods team placed 2nd out of 9 teams with 87 points, three points from 1st place Linn.  Individually, Jessica Smith placed 1st and Cody Hamm 3rd out of 35 contestants.  Other team members were Tanner Davis and Olivia Husted.  Students evaluated five milk samples to determine their off-flavors, identified five cheese varieties, evaluated two milker units, three artificial/real products, and took a written test.

The entomology team finished 2nd out of 4 schools following 1st place Linn by only 3 points. Receiving medals were Tanner Davis placing 2nd and Kassi Smith placing 3rd.  Also competing was Garrett Daugherty.  The students identified fifty insects and took a written test.
