MHS Forensics Team Wins Lincoln Tournament

The Minneapolis High School Forensics team competed in the Lincoln Invitational on Thursday, March 25, 2010. Team sweepstakes results were: 1st place Minneapolis with 108 pts., 2nd place Sterling with 102 pts., and 3rd place Southeast of Saline with 97 pts.
Individual medal winners were:
PROSE: Charlie Lynn - 1st, Spencer Roy 2nd
Humorous Solo Acting: Kaitlyn Cassel - 3rd
Serious Solo Acting: Meredith Clark - 2nd
Duet Acting: Corey Egger / Trystan Bingham -6th
Improvised Duet Acting: Charlie Lynn / Caleb Kindall - 4th
Informative Speech: Meredith Clark - 4th, Dina Lyne - 6th
Original Oration: Dina Lyne - 1st, Hunter Clark - 2nd, Christian Orzano - 6th
Others that competed and earned points were: Jessi Walker, Keith Allen, Brigette Jarrell, Holly Gehrke, Kylen laws, Julie Gavin, and Daryl Simmons.
"This was another great showing for these kids who have worked so hard. As a team we beat some very good competition, and individually several kids stepped up to the next level. I was impressed with their effort," said Mrs. Bergman, MHS Forensics Coach.
Next action for the team will be league at Sacred Heart on April 7th.
