On Monday, September 28, 2009, a few members of the MHS Student Council traveled to Salina Central for a Stuco conference. As members, their goal was to either get ideas from other schools or come up with new ones to help better Minneapolis High School.
Members attending the conference were Ellie Labes, President; Caleb Kindall, Jacob Eckert, Lindsey Abell, Meredith Clark, and Shelbi Hamilton.
At the beginning of the school year, all classes have voted and elected class leaders. Representatives elected for Stuco have begun meeting during seminars. “Our biggest project this year is Homecoming. So far, it has been developing nicely; all members have been working hard to get it accomplished. Committees have been planning the parade, ceremony, dance, and organizing the candidates. On top of it all next week is Magazine Sales!” says sponsor Mrs. Bergman.
Students who have ideas for improving the school should contact their student council representative or Mrs. Bergman.
